CROSSROADS CORPORATE

Crossroads is uniquely placed as a venue for business, corporate, training, promotional and sales functions.

It is positioned outside Camborne/Redruth, less than a minute’s drive from the county’s main A30 trunk road, and is an easy driving distance from anywhere in the county. The A30 at this point is dual carriageway, so access is not a problem, even in the height of the tourist season.

Crossroads offers a 200-seat conference facility, with its own entrance, and easy access for even bulky items such as equipment, stands and exhibits.

It is equipped with OHP and screen, video/TV, flipchart and power point, as well as ISDN connections for video conferencing.

The conference room has its own bar; catering can be done for the facility itself, but clients can also take advantage of our restaurant and breakfast rooms.

We also recognise that each function has individual needs and requirements, and we pride ourselves on tailoring each function to a client’s specific requirements.

Functions at Crossroads this year also include property exhibitions, staff recruitment, staff training, trade fairs, and project briefing.

Recent clients include Cornwall County Council, the local NHS Trust, the Driving Service Agency, First Bus, Mowlem Construction, Hyder Construction, and Everest Double Glazing.

Because of its range of facilities, Crossroads is also now being seen as an ideal venue for the new concept of one-stop recruitment. Instead of spreading recruitment over a period of days or weeks, for example, one major client now conducts its recruitment, interviewing, job offers and medical examinations on one day – all at Crossroads. The main conference centre is used for briefing and interviewing, and bedrooms are used for medicals; applicants leave knowing they have a job, rather than have to wait, and the employer leaves knowing he has filled his job vacancies.

Crossroads also has a number of smaller rooms, for example a 16 seat boardroom, for other types of corporate meetings.

At a time – and in a region – where traffic and parking are becoming increasing problems, the fact that we have on-site parking for two hundred vehicles is another key factor in our success and attraction as a facilities centre.

BOARD ROOM

As well as the main corporate facility, Crossroads also offers a 16-seat boardroom which clients are increasingly using for a whole range of activities, from briefings, to small-group training, to brain-storm sessions. All free from telephones and other interventions and distractions. The boardroom has its own bathroom – of course; and catering can obviously be provided to match the function.
